SAB WindTeam GmbH is an onshore wind project developer and windfarm operator with activities in Germany and France. SAB WindTeam is based in Itzehoe with additional offices in Kiel, Hamburg, Magdeburg, Wolfenbüttel-Ahlum, Nantes and Lyon.

Since its foundation by Dirk Staats in 2008, SAB WindTeam GmbH has been owner-managed and independent. Since then, the company has undergone a continuous development from a stand-alone project developer to an independent energy producer. The in-house demand of the IPP company (IPP = Independent Power Producer) ensures the smooth transition from a significant part of the projects developed in-house. The internal services and processes have been consistently designed to be suitable for the third market.

o 2008: Foundation of SAB WindTeam GmbH in Itzehoe and commissioning of the first three wind turbines in own operation
o 2008: Opening of an office in Magdeburg
o 2011: Opening of an office in Kiel 
o 2011: Commissioning of the 25th wind turbine in own operation
o 2013: Commissioning of 25 wind turbines 
o 2013: Commissioning of the first wind farm in France with a cooperation partner
o 2015: Establishment of the own technical management and opening of the Wolfenbüttel-Ahlum office for TOM
o 2016: Foundation and establishment of the own IPP Company
o 2016 Commissioning of the 50th wind power plant in own operation
o 2018: Acquisition of the first wind farm not independently projected for the IPP company
o 2019: Opening of an office in Hamburg
o 2019: Expansion in France with sites in Nantes and Lyon
o 2021: Financial closing for two French windfarms
o 2022: Financial closing of projects with >60 MW in Germany and France
