Kamauru Johnson, Ph.D., is the Director of Counseling Support Services at Rye Country Day School, a position they have held since 2021. Previously, Kamauru served as a Learning Specialist and School Psychologist at Brooklyn Friends School from 2011 to 2021 and held multiple roles at The School at Columbia University between 2007 and 2011. Kamauru’s earlier experience includes internships and consulting roles in various educational and psychological settings. They earned a Ph.D. in School Psychology from Columbia University, complementing their Bachelor's degrees in Psychology from Morehouse College.
