Dermot Horan is the Director of Acquisitions and Co-Productions at RTÉ Ireland and serves as Chair of the EBU (European Broadcasting Union) TV Committee. With a comprehensive knowledge of the Irish and international television industry, Dermot is a leading professional in broadcast, co-production, distribution, and acquisition. Currently, Dermot is responsible for major international co-productions at RTÉ and has held various roles since joining the organization in 1994, including Acting Managing Director and Director of Production and Acquisitions. Dermot studied History and Classical Civilization at Trinity College Dublin, graduating with a BA Hons in 1983.
