Terry Lyons is the National Education Practice Leader at Risk Strategies and a 2022 recipient of the Education Power Broker Award. With over 30 years of experience in student health practices, Terry founded Academic HealthPlans (AHP), which became part of Risk Strategies in 2019. In the current role, Terry directs national growth and service strategies for the education sector, overseeing partnerships with more than 350 colleges and universities, serving over 425,000 insured members. Previous experience includes serving as Chief Operating Officer at the Student Insurance Division of UICI, where important foundational industry knowledge was acquired. Terry holds a BBA in Accounting from Texas Tech University.
