Herman Pals is a Senior Project Manager in the Maritime & Aviation sector at Royal HaskoningDHV, where they have been employed since 1998, primarily focusing on the Maritime & Waterways business line. Throughout their career, they have taken on various roles, including project engineer, design team leader, and project manager for a diverse array of maritime and port-related projects. Between 2011 and 2014, they served as Director of the Advisory Group Maritime & Waterways in Indonesia and worked as a Project Manager in Singapore from 2014 to 2017. Currently, Pals is also a Board Member of PIANC Nederland and has been involved with PIANC Working Group 153 since 2011, contributing to guidelines for marine terminal design. They earned their MSc in Civil Engineering from Delft University of Technology from 1992 to 1998.
