Nico Schmalz is currently the Director of R&D Naval Communication Systems at Rohde & Schwarz, a position held since 2024. Previously, Nico gained extensive experience at IBM from 2016 to 2019, serving in various roles including Senior Consultant and Managing Consultant. In 2012, Nico participated in several practical projects focused on public safety and software engineering, as well as contributed to a European Union program on service innovation design. Nico completed a practical thesis during their studies, examining the impact of cloud technology on internal business practices.
