Shawna-Gay Duncan, LSW, is a compassionate social work professional and recent graduate of Columbia University, where they are pursuing a Master of Social Work in Advanced Clinical Social Work. Shawna has extensive experience in social work and community health, having served as a Peer Advocate at Prevention, Advocacy & Resource Center and a Clinical Social Work Intern at both Henry Street Settlement and Blanton-Peale Institute & Counseling Center. They previously worked as an Ambassador with Narrative 4, promoting empathy through storytelling, and honed their skills through internships at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and the Food Bank For NYC. Currently, Shawna is a Family Therapist at Rising Ground, providing intensive therapy to high-risk families.
