Hazem E. Hassan, PhD, MS, RPh, FCP, currently serves as the Director of Clinical Pharmacology at Regeneron since August 2020, previously holding the position of Associate Director in the same department. In addition, Hazem is an Affiliate Associate Professor at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy and has been part of the faculty since June 2021 after serving as Director of the Pharmacokinetics and Biopharmaceutics Laboratory from 2013 to 2018. During a tenure at the FDA from February 2018 to August 2020, Hazem worked as a Clinical Pharmacology Reviewer and Co-Chaired the Clinical Trial Designs Scientific Interest Group. Hazem’s educational background includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Pharmacology and a Master’s Degree in Pharmacometrics from the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy, along with certificates from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Pharmacy from Helwan University in Cairo.
