Kris Provoost has extensive experience in the field of electronics and FPGA design, currently serving as FPGA Team Lead and FPGA Architect at Redwire Space since January 2017. Prior to this role, Kris worked at Antwerp Space from January 2012 to December 2016 as a System Engineer, where responsibilities included satellite receiver system development and technical oversight for ESA projects. As a Hardware Development Engineer, Kris specialized in FPGA design and implementation, focusing on high data rate digital transmitters and satellite receivers. Earlier professional experience includes positions as an Electronics Design Engineer at A. Electronics, focusing on schematic design and board layout, and as a Test Engineer at Cypress Semiconductor, where Kris developed testing circuits for CMOS image sensors. Kris holds a Master’s degree in Electronics - Design Techniques and a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics - Multimedia and Computer Technology from Karel de Grote-Hogeschool.
