Julien Second is the Managing Director and Global Head of XVA Trading at RBC Capital Markets, leading a global team in risk managing the credit, funding, and discounting risks of the firm's derivatives portfolio. With extensive experience as a cross-asset derivatives trader, Julien has worked in market making, vanilla and exotic trading, and portfolio management at various North American and European institutions, including BNP Paribas and Crédit Agricole CIB. Julien holds a postgraduate degree in Applied Mathematics from École Normale Supérieure Paris-Saclay and a Master of Science in International Finance from HEC Paris.
