Brian Pears is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in electronic sales and market structure. Since May 2010, Brian has served as the Director of Electronic Sales and Head of US Market Structure at RBC Capital Markets, where leadership of the US market structure research team and management of electronic equity offerings for the west coast are key responsibilities. Prior to this role, Brian held the position of Senior Vice President at JonesTrading from February 2008 to May 2010, overseeing the development of new business initiatives. Brian also served as Senior Vice President for Transactions Sales at NYFIX from October 2005 to January 2008, focusing on sales of alternative trading solutions. Earlier in Brian's career, from 2001 to 2005, Brian was the Managing Director and Head of Equity Trading at Victory Capital, managing a trading desk while contributing a column to Traders Magazine. Brian holds a BA in Government, Business, and Japanese from the University of Notre Dame.
