David Fong CEng MIMechE is a Principal Engineer at Ramboll since April 2021, bringing extensive expertise in solid fuel combustion, including coal and biomass, along with emissions controls. Prior to this role, David served as a Senior Process Engineer at RJM International and was the Founder and Managing Director of Engineered Bicycles Ltd. David has held consultant positions and leadership roles in organizations such as RWE npower, where specialization included biomass and fossil combustion, as well as emissions controls in utility boilers. Experience also includes roles at Eskom, where responsibilities encompassed managing engineering projects related to underground coal gasification technology and fueling combustion assessments. David began a career in engineering with a focus on CFD modeling and NOx emissions research during a graduate training program at Eskom and has a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
