Kaie Karniol is the Chief Operating Officer at Rail Baltic Estonia, a position held since 2025. They have an extensive background in public governance and finance, having served as Head of the Public Governance Policy Department and Head of the State Assets Department at the Ministry of Finance from 2004 to 2008. Kaie was also Head of the Financial Audit Department at the State Audit Office from 1999 to 2004 and has held various supervisory board roles across multiple organizations, including Eesti Energia and Riigi Kinnisvara AS. They are currently a Supervisory Board Member of SA Eesti Koostöö Kogu and have contributed their expertise to several audit committees. Kaie obtained their education from TalTech – Tallinn University of Technology, graduating in 1998.
