Melanie Kacerek is the Director of Intellectual Property & Compliance at Quest Software, with extensive experience in privacy compliance and regulatory frameworks including GDPR and CCPA. Previously, Melanie served as Software IP Portfolio Manager at Dell, guiding intellectual property issues and establishing best practices for EU Privacy compliance. Melanie's career at Quest Software began in 1996, where various roles included Technical Director of Intellectual Property, leading the development of the IP portfolio, and Technical Director of Business Development, overseeing due diligence for numerous acquisitions. Additionally, Melanie held the position of Director of Product Management, mentoring product managers and enhancing products for Oracle databases, and was the pioneering SharePlex Product Manager.
