Saman Moniri is currently a Senior Battery Engineer at QuantumScape, focusing on cell development. Previously, Saman held positions at Tesla as a Senior Process Development Engineer and at UCLA as a Postdoctoral Scholar, where they contributed to significant advancements in materials characterization and electrochemical systems. Saman earned a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan, along with a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in the same field from the same institution and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, respectively. Their expertise spans materials science, electrochemistry, and advanced imaging methods, combined with strong skills in data analysis and computational modeling.
