Rakesh Ravuri is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in engineering leadership and software architecture. Currently serving as CTO - SVP Engineering at Publicis Sapient since August 2018, Rakesh specializes in engineering strategy and capability development for retail engagements. Previously, as Director of Software Engineering at Amazon, Rakesh was a founding member of Amazon Shipping, driving technology solutions for small parcel and freight services. Rakesh's tenure at Tesco PLC included key roles such as Head of Software Platform & Architecture and Chief Architect for Tesco.com, where Rakesh managed architecture decisions for a major grocery platform. Earlier career experiences include positions at Sapient and roles as Founder and Principal Technologist at Adea Solutions. Rakesh holds an MS in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor of Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka.
