Verena Neufeld, PhD, is a postdoctoral research scientist currently at Caltech, specializing in quantum chemistry. Previously, they held positions at Columbia University and the University of Cambridge, where they developed novel stochastic methods for solving the Schrödinger equation and authored six peer-reviewed publications. Verena has also worked as a mathematics tutor and supervised undergraduate students in modeling solid systems. They earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Stochastic Quantum Chemistry from the University of Cambridge, along with a Master of Philosophy in Scientific Computing and a BA and Master of Natural Sciences.
