Darrel Young is the Director of Player Development at the Pittsburgh Steelers, a position they have held since 2021. With extensive experience in the sports industry, Darrel has previously served as the Manager of Engagement and Player Relations for the NFL from 2017 to 2018 and as a professional athlete with teams such as the Washington Redskins, Carolina Panthers, and Chicago Bears from 2009 to 2017. Darrel holds a Master of Science in Sports Industry Management from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communication and Media Studies from Villanova University. They are skilled in event planning, customer service, sports management, athletics, and public speaking.
