Demai Ni is currently the VP of APAC Technology at TiDB, powered by PingCAP, where they lead a team of database experts and solution architects. Previously, Demai served as GM of Engineering and Global Strategy at NineData, focusing on DMaaS and data integration solutions. Their extensive background includes being the director of product management at Alibaba Cloud, where they significantly contributed to the company's growth and elevated its database products to the top tier in Gartner's Magic Quadrant for Cloud Database. Earlier in their career, Demai held key roles at IBM, including leading development efforts for DB2 and HBase. Demai is currently pursuing an M.S. in Computer Science Engineering Mechanics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
