Fabian E. Bustamante is a Full Professor of Computer Science in the EECS department at Northwestern University and has served there since 2002. They founded Kealu Inc. and currently hold the title of Chief Scientist, following their tenure as Director of Research at Phenix Real Time Solutions from 2016 to 2025. Previously, Bustamante was a Research Assistant at Georgia Institute of Technology and completed a research internship at HP Labs in the year 2000. Their research expertise lies in Internet-scale distributed systems, and they have received multiple accolades, including the US National Science Foundation CAREER award.
