Marco Bertolini is a Senior Principal Machine Learning Research Scientist at Pfizer, focusing on applying advanced mathematical models to machine learning and computational drug discovery. They earned a Ph.D. in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics from Duke University, where they also served as a Graduate Student and Research Assistant, contributing to research in string theory and quantum field theory. Previously, Marco worked as a Machine Learning Researcher at Bayer and as a co-Principal Investigator at OPTIMA Oncology. Their research interests include unsupervised representation learning, equivariant neural networks, explainable AI, and deep learning for cheminformatics and digital pathology.
