James Eshelby, PhD, is a consultant and retired Vice President & Head of Pfizer Global Public Private Partnerships, bringing 34 years of experience in senior leadership roles within the pharmaceutical industry. They began their career as a synthetic chemist at Zeneca Agrochemicals from 1989 to 1997, before moving to Pfizer, where they held various positions including Senior Director of Business Development and Head of European R&D Business Development. Since 2016, they have served as Vice President & Head of Pfizer's Global Public Private Partnerships Office. James earned a PhD in Natural Product Organic Chemistry Synthesis from the University of Reading and a BSc in Biological Chemistry from City, University of London.
