Alex Burtea is currently a Senior Principal Scientist in Medicinal Chemistry at Pfizer, where they have held various leadership positions since 2022. They previously served as Principal Scientist and Senior Scientist, focusing on synthesis and medicinal chemistry. Alex completed a Doctor of Philosophy in Organic Chemistry at UC Irvine and earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from California State University, Fullerton. Prior to their role at Pfizer, they worked as a Wet Chemist at Exova SL Pharma and were a graduate student at UC Irvine from 2014 to 2019.
