Richard Bailey, FIFST CSci, is an experienced food process engineer currently serving as an R&D Principal Engineer at PepsiCo. In this role, they focus on process development and scale-up for innovative snack lines. Previously, Richard held several positions within PepsiCo, including Engineering Manager for Supply Chain NPD Capital Projects, contributing to global projects in the snacks category. Richard’s earlier experience includes process development management at Trouw/Skretting and work as a process technologist at EWOS, specializing in aquaculture feed. Richard holds a BEng (Hons) in Chemical Engineering from Loughborough University, an MSc in Biotechnology from Teesside University, and an MPhil in Chemical Engineering from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
