Patrice L. Simms is currently the Vice President of Litigation for Healthy Communities at Earthjustice, where they focus on environmental justice initiatives. They have served as an Associate Professor at Howard University from 2011 to 2017 and held various legal roles, including Deputy Assistant Attorney General at the U.S. Department of Justice and Counsel to the Board at the US EPA Environmental Appeals Board. Patrice has been a board member of the Environmental Integrity Project since 2018 and co-founded People over Plastic in 2021 to promote environmental justice through dialogue and community engagement. They are also a Visiting Professor at Harvard Law School since 2022.
