Daniel Lee has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of software engineering. Daniel is currently employed as a Senior Solutions Architect at Penguin Computing since June 2020. Prior to this, they worked at SMART Modular Technologies as a Senior Software Engineer from June 2019 to June 2020. In this role, they expanded their existing responsibilities from their previous work experiences at Motorola, Emerson, and Artesyn. Daniel gained knowledge in Hypervisor software, set up RAID systems, and created and managed a RAID 1+0 with separate backup.

Before joining SMART Modular Technologies, Daniel worked at Artesyn Embedded Technologies as a Senior Software Engineer from January 2014 to June 2019. Daniel further expanded their skills and responsibilities from their experience at Motorola and Emerson. Daniel became the point of contact for all ATCA and PCI board testing and demonstrated hardware and software debugging capabilities by resolving customer issues. Daniel also added performance testing to existing diagnostics.

From January 2008 to January 2014, Daniel worked at Emerson Network Power as a Senior Software Engineer. Here, they continued to expand their responsibilities from their work at Motorola. Daniel created Software Specification Documents and Test Coverage Document for all products and developed all-in-one Linux images. Daniel modified the kernel and drivers to add required test or board-specific code and support.

Prior to their time at Emerson, Daniel was employed at Motorola as a Software Engineer from an unspecified start date to 2008. In this role, they worked closely with the factory and was responsible for Linux functional acceptance testing. Daniel created bash scripts and C/C++ Linux diagnostics to test various components and collaborated with the hardware team to narrow down and debug issues.

Daniel Lee obtained their Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering from Arizona State University, where they studied from 2001 to 2004. In addition to their degree, they obtained a certification from Red Hat as a Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation in March 2022.
