Chris Shanahan is an accomplished executive in the life and health insurance industry, currently serving as Chief Executive Officer for Life & Health at PartnerRe since May 2018, with previous roles including CEO of North America Life and President of U.S. Life Operations. Prior to joining PartnerRe, Chris held various leadership positions at Hannover Re, where responsibilities included overseeing U.S. operations as Executive Vice President-Mortality Solutions, and served as Interim President & CEO at Scottish Re. Additionally, Chris has contributed to the community as a board member and past board chair of the Alliance Center for Education, a non-profit focused on educational outreach. Chris commenced a career in the insurance sector at Lincoln Financial Group and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Actuarial Science from Drake University.
