Shelby Petro is a wetland scientist with 17 years of experience in the environmental field, focusing on wetland science, natural resources management, and regulatory compliance. Shelby has conducted routine wetland and stream delineations, performed habitat assessments, and coordinated with various agencies to secure environmental permits. Currently, Shelby serves as a Senior Wetland Scientist at HNTB, while also teaching in the Wetland Science and Management Certificate Program at the University of Washington. Shelby holds a Master's degree in Environmental Science and Management from the Bren School at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Indiana Wesleyan University.
