Matthew Parkes is currently the COO at Orient Software and has over 30 years of experience in the architectural sector, focusing on commercial, residential, retail, healthcare, sports, leisure, and infrastructure projects. They have worked internationally in the UK, Hong Kong, USA, and Vietnam, recently engaging in projects across the UK, Australia, and Southeast Asia. Matthew holds a Master’s degree in Climate Change and Sustainable Development and has a keen interest in sustainable architecture, having conducted significant research on energy use in Vietnamese homes. In 2001, they received an architectural prize at the Royal Academy of Arts for their innovative design, ‘The Fogcatcher’. Additionally, Matthew has held leadership roles in various organizations, including chairing the UKTI-backed Urban Development Working Group in Vietnam.
