Mardly Smith has been working in the field of Human Resources for over 30 years. In 1988, they began their career as a Human Resources Recruiter at AdventHealth Central Florida. They then moved to ATC Healthcare in 1996, where they served as a Human Resources Manager and Recruiter. In 1999, Smith joined Robert Half as a Division Director. Five years later, they took on the role of Strategic Project and Recruitment Manager at Delta-T Group. In 2012, Smith founded and became the Owner of Orange Tree Staffing, LLC.

Mardly Smith attended the University of Central Florida from 1990 to 1995, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management, Human Resources, and International Business. They also attended Forest Lake Academy. In 2021, they obtained a certification from the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDCHQ) through the National Minority Development Council. In 2012, they obtained a Minority Woman Business Enterprise certification from the Florida Department of Management Services.
