Peter Cogan, PhD, is a seasoned data science and technology leader currently serving as the VP of Data Science at Optum. Previously, they held the positions of Associate Director and Director of Data Science at the same company. Before joining Optum, Peter worked as a Data Science Manager at Amdocs and as a Research Scientist at Bell Laboratories, where they focused on real-time analytics of telecom data. Peter also completed a postdoctoral research associate position at McGill University, contributing to high-energy gamma-ray telescope projects, and holds a PhD in Astrophysics from University College Dublin.
