Mick Keane is a Principal Digital Accessibility Engineer and Standards Lead at Optum, where they focus on creating accessible applications for all users. They serve as the Disability Inclusion Chair for the UHG ERG in Ireland and the UK and are a co-founder of Accessibility Ireland. With a strong background in frontend development, Mick has held various roles including Head of Frontend at Strata3 and Webmaster at Hewlett-Packard, where they emphasized web accessibility and compliance with standards. Mick holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Digital Media Engineering from Dublin City University and a Master’s in Digital Media from the National University of Ireland, Galway.
