Kennedy James is a Chief People Officer currently at One City Schools, where they lead the design and implementation of people-centered systems to foster a high-performing educational environment. Previously, they held various leadership roles including Vice President of Talent & Operations and Vice President of Talent & Culture at Visit Seattle, and Executive Director of Operations and People at The Gottman Institute. Kennedy's academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Arts & Sciences from the University of Washington and a Master in Library and Information Science, also from the University of Washington. They pursued a Doctor of Philosophy in Education at Oregon State University and completed comprehensive exams in 2015.
