Maia McBurney has held various roles in the tech industry since 2013. Maia began their career as a Data Entry Analyst at Ezra Penland Actuarial Recruitment in 2014. Maia then worked as a Tour Guide and Ambassador Executive Board Member at DePaul University from 2013-2014. In 2015, they held a Product Management Intern role at Applied Systems. From 2016-2018, Maia worked at Strata Decision Technology as an Implementation Consultant and Implementation Analyst. Most recently, they have been employed at International Decision Systems as a Senior Business Application Consultant and Business Application Consultant since 2018. Maia is currently a Product Delivery Manager and Product Delivery Lead at Odeza since 2021.

Maia McBurney earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Management Information Systems from DePaul University between 2012 and 2016. In June 2021, they obtained HFMA's Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) certification from HFMA.
