Kathryn Schleit is currently the Canadian Commissioner to the International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas at Fisheries and Oceans Canada. They have held notable positions including Fisheries Director at Oceans North and Senior Coordinator for Marine at the Ecology Action Centre. Kathryn also served as an International Ocean Policy Associate at The Pew Charitable Trusts and worked as a Coastal Resource Management Specialist with the US Peace Corps in the Philippines. They began their career in education as a Teacher at Lycee Technique de la Mer and later contributed as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Washington. Kathryn holds a Master's in Marine Affairs from the University of Washington and continues their studies at the School for International Training and Franklin & Marshall College.
