Rex Yalavarthi is currently an Advisor Reservoir Engineer at Oxy, leveraging over 15 years of experience in reservoir engineering. Prior to this role, Rex served as a Principal Reservoir Engineer at NextEra Energy Resources, where they led the Haynesville Asset and contributed to various projects through their expertise in resource estimation and reservoir optimization. Rex holds a master's degree in petroleum engineering from Texas A&M University and a bachelor's degree from the Indian Institute of Technology. Additionally, Rex is a licensed professional engineer, a published author, and a former chairman of the SPE-Gulf Coast Reservoir Study Group, recognized with two awards for leadership.
