Michaela has previously worked as a senior vice president at OMV, a large oil and gas company headquartered in Vienna, Austria. Michaela has also served as the chairwoman of the supervisory board at Öµþµþ-Postbus AG, and as a press spokesperson for the Minister of the Interior and the Minister of Defence.
