Heber Selvo is a PhD candidate and research assistant in Electrical Engineering, with a focus on electricity markets and grid resilience. They have 19 years of industry experience, primarily in the electricity distribution sector, where they have excelled in roles that include project management, consulting, and customer relations. Heber has taught as a volunteer professor at the Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso do Sul and has played a pivotal role in a transformative project that provided electricity to over 3,000 families in the Pantanal region. Currently, Heber is expanding their expertise as a research staff member at Oak Ridge National Laboratory and continues education at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
