John Beauchamp currently serves as the Senior Director of Siting Projects at the Nuclear Waste Management Organization since 2023, focusing on the implementation of the Deep Geological Repository project and supporting the intermediate-level waste program. Previously, John held roles as Senior Director of Site Selection at NWMO, where contributions included the selection of Wabigoon Lake Ojibway Nation and the Township of Ignace as host communities for Canada's deep geological repository. John's experience at Ontario Power Generation spanned nearly a decade, where roles included Director of Regulatory Strategy, Director of Environment, Health & Safety, and Director of Environment - Corporate, all emphasizing environmental governance, climate change strategies, and health and safety programs. Before that, John practiced as Senior Counsel in corporate and environmental law and worked as an Associate at Norton Rose Fulbright, concentrating on energy and regulatory matters. Educational qualifications include an Honors Bachelor of Kinesiology and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Ottawa.
