Jim Fan is the Director of AI and a Distinguished Scientist at NVIDIA, where they co-lead Project GR00T focused on humanoid robotics and the GEAR Lab. They hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Stanford University, where they researched deep reinforcement learning and robotics. Jim previously worked as OpenAI's first intern and contributed to significant projects in speech recognition and AI agents during their time at various institutions, including Baidu and Columbia University. With a strong passion for making Physical AI a reality, they continue to innovate in the field of robotics.
