Jan-Wilhelm Kornfeld is a Professor for Molecular Biology of Metabolic Diseases at the University of Southern Denmark, where they lead the Interdisciplinary Centre for RNA Innovation and Cardiometabolic Health. Currently, they hold positions as a Principal Investigator at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Adipocyte Signaling and the Functional Genomics and Metabolism Research Unit, focusing on RNA therapeutics and metabolic diseases. Previously, they served as a Principal Investigator at CECAD Cologne and an Emmy Noether Programme Principal Investigator with the Max Planck Society. Jan-Wilhelm completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Cologne from 2009 to 2013.
