Trent Borman is a materials scientist with over eight years of experience in thin film deposition, specializing in physical vapor deposition (PVD). They have held positions at institutions such as Penn State University and North Carolina State University, contributing to research and process development for various materials systems. Trent's expertise includes the design, installation, and maintenance of PVD systems, and they have actively taught many users the operation and troubleshooting of scientific equipment. Currently, they serve as a Principal Physical Vapor Deposition Process Engineer at Northrop Grumman. Trent earned a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Penn State University, along with a Master’s and Bachelor's degree in the same field.
