Audrey Lankford Barnes is a transdisciplinarian skilled in integrating design with arts, sciences, business, and other creative endeavors. Currently serving as the Department Head of Graphic Design & Industrial Design at North Carolina State University, they also hold the title of Principal and Co-Founder at Such Nice People, LLC. With a rich background in industrial design, Audrey's previous roles include design positions at Danforth Pewter and Irwin Industrial Tools, as well as teaching at James Madison University and Rhode Island School of Design. Their research focuses on equity, design justice, and environmental sustainability, shaping innovative solutions through collaboration and empowering students to voice their creativity.
