Silje Kristoffersen is a Senior Scientist at Nofima, where work has been ongoing since October 2015. Prior to this role, Silje served as the Head of Administration and Senior Project Coordinator for Vesterålen regionråd from September 2009 to September 2015. Silje also held the position of Scientist at Nofima from September 2007 to August 2009 and completed a Ph.D. as a student at the University of Tromsø from February 2000 to August 2007. Silje obtained a Doctor Scient degree in Marine Biotechnology from the Norwegian College of Fishery Science in Tromsø between 2000 and 2007 and earlier acquired a Fiskerikandidat degree in Biological and Biomedical Sciences from the same institution from 1993 to 2000.
