Travis Abshere is a Principal Technology Development Engineer at nLIGHT, where responsibilities include developing next-generation technology for solid-state lasers and integrating improvement efforts across business units. Prior to this role, Travis served as Process Engineering Manager, overseeing die bonding, testing, packaging, and assembly, with a strong focus on yield and continuous improvement. Previously, at TriQuint Semiconductor, Travis worked as Process Engineering Manager and led significant yield improvements and process optimizations. With a PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of Oregon, Travis has extensive experience in semiconductor laser systems, photolithography, and manufacturing processes.
