John Gambardella is a results-driven executive with extensive experience in information security management, currently serving as Chief Technology Officer and Chief Information Security Officer at NewtekOne. Previously, they were the Chief Information Security Officer at New York Community Bancorp, Inc. for 18 years, where they developed and implemented a comprehensive information security program that maintained compliance with regulatory standards and achieved significant reductions in network vulnerabilities. Gambardella began their career as an Information Technology Examination Specialist at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, performing technology-related examinations for financial institutions. They are currently pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting at Hofstra University.
