Melissa Bata is currently the Principal Advisor Risk and Assurance at KiwiRail, a position they have held since 2025. Prior to this role, Melissa worked as a Risk and Compliance Manager at Westpac New Zealand from 2021 to 2023 and held various positions at the Reserve Bank of New Zealand, including Senior Internal Auditor. They served as the Non Financial Risk Lead at TSB New Zealand from 2024 to 2025, and gained experience as a Tax Consultant and Senior Associate at PwC, as well as a Consultant at Deloitte. Melissa earned a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila in 2008.
