In partnership with the people of Nevada, the Department of Public Safety (DPS) provides services in support of protecting our citizens and visitors by promoting safer communities through prevention, preparedness, response, recovery, education and enforcement.

The DPS is committed to achieving the highest standards of excellence through the use of comprehensive training programs, progressive technology, federal, state and local government partnerships with interagency cooperation to ensure the safety of all citizens and visitors in Nevada
