Ian Switzer is an experienced electrical and electronics engineer currently serving as an Implant Electromagnetics and Electrical Engineer at Neuralink since 2020. Prior to this role, Ian held the position of Personnel Manager at Cornell Productions from 2016 to 2020, managing a team of over 40 employees in a student-run sound and lights productions company. In 2019, Ian interned at DEKA Research & Development as a Hardware and Firmware Engineering Intern, where responsibilities included hardware engineering for FedEx's SameDay delivery robot and the confidential NEO project, as well as developing PCB designs in Altium. From 2017 to 2019, Ian co-founded and acted as Chief Technical Officer of American Marine Research Company, leading a team of over 25 engineers to create semi-autonomous deep-sea fishing robots aimed at combating invasive lionfish. Ian holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a minor in Computer Science from Cornell University, completing studies in 2020.
