Valerie Mayo, M.Ed, currently serves as a 5th Grade Teacher at Needham Public Schools since August 2025. Valerie has gained diverse educational experience through various roles, including 5th Grade and 2nd Grade Student Teacher positions at Wildwood and Jackson Street Elementary Schools, respectively. Valerie's background includes working as a Classroom Observer at Leeds Elementary School and a Preschool Intern at Boston Outdoor Preschool Network. Prior to transitioning into education, Valerie worked in the hospitality industry at Big Night Entertainment Group and CBS Sporting Club, among others. Valerie holds a Master’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, completed in May 2025, and a Bachelor’s degree in Education with a focus on Community Education and Social Change from the same institution.
